The Long Relay Attack 1000M is currently the most versatile relay attack device on the market, combining two high-quality keyless repeaters in one.

What is a relay attack?
A relay attack is a complex technical method designed to simulate two radios communicating with each other in a two-way communication. The relay attack method allows a signal to be received from radios that are communicating with each other, the received signal to be cleaned of unnecessary noise and interference, and the signal to be significantly amplified at the output and retransmitted. This allows the signal to be transmitted in its original form over distances much greater than the radios themselves are capable of.
This method is used wherever there is a need to extend the range of a radio signal, be it a cellular phone or a Wi-Fi network. Using vehicles as an example, the relay attack method increases the signal range between a vehicle and the original smart key from that vehicle. This makes it possible to unlock the car, open the doors and start the engine from a distance. A good quality car smart key can transmit a signal over a distance of 100-250 metres, provided the battery in the smart key is charged. If the battery in the smart key is low, this distance is significantly reduced. Unlike the Smart Key, the car only transmits the signal for 2-3 metres. Therefore, if the original key is more than 2-3 metres away from the car, this Smart Key will not see the signal from the car and no authorisation data will be exchanged between them.
A keyless entry repeater is a special handheld device, usually consisting of two or more repeaters, that allows an extended range of action between a smart key and the vehicle using a relay attack method.
Over 90% of all standard modern vehicle security systems are ineffective against such attacks, so it is vital that vehicle owners invest in additional security measures!

Features and differences between the Long Relay Attack 1000M system and conventional multi-brand keyless repeaters?
The Long Relay Attack 1000M works on the same principle as conventional multi-brand keyless repeaters, but the smart key does not interact directly with the vehicle as in the principle of conventional multi-brand keyless repeaters.
The Long Relay Attack 1000M consists of two relay blocks|units|boxes – a receiving and a transmitting unit (Repeater 1 and Repeater 2). The receiving unit must be located near the vehicle and the transmitting unit must be located near the vehicle’s smart key. After the system is turned on, a two- way high-speed digital data channel is established between the repeater units, which allows retransmitting/transmitting the request signal from the car to the smart key and back from the smart key to the car over long distances.
Long range keyless repeaters scheme of operation – Long Relay Attack 1000M:
Being close to the car, the first repeater receives the request signal from the car and retransmits/transmits it to the second repeater, which is located near the original smart key and, imitating the car, transmits the request signal from the car to the smart key. At the same time, the second repeater also amplifies the received signal, which allows it to be further away from the original smart key (up to 7-18 meters) than the car needs (2-3 meters). The smart key receives this signal-request, checks it, makes sure that it is a native signal from the car, recognizes the command and confirms authorization. The smart key sends the authorization confirmation signal back, but not directly to the car, but through repeaters. This is the feature and advantage of the Long Relay Attack 1000M over conventional multi-brand wireless repeaters. The signal is returned along the same path as it was received, only in reverse order – first Repeater 2 receives the authorization confirmation signal from the smart key, then Repeater 2 transmits the signal to Repeater 1, which simulates the presence of the smart key near the car, transmits the signal to the car’s security system. After the car has received and processed the signal from the smart key, the car security system is deactivated and the doors are unlocked.
To start the engine it is necessary to repeat all steps of signal transmission, only this time Repeater 1 should be placed near the front panel of the car, for example, between the front seats or on the passenger seat. Next, the Start button is pressed to start the engine, at which point another authorization request is sent to start the engine. By analogy with the same communication channels, the signal from the car is first transmitted to Repeater 1, Repeater 1 transmits the signal to Repeater 2, Repeater 2 transmits the signal to the smart key, the smart key receives and processes the received signal and then sends a signal to confirm the request. This signal is returned by the same communication channels only in reverse order – from the smart key to Repeater 2, from Repeater 2 to Repeater 1, and from Repeater 1 to the car. The vehicle receives a confirmation signal and after pressing the Start button again, the instrument panel lights up and the engine starts.
Data transmission (digital signals) is very fast, and within the required time period, due to the two- way high-speed digital data channel between Repeaters ы1 and 2. Repeaters are very powerful devices, have high-quality transmitters, clean and amplify the signal, which allows them to transmit the signal over much longer distances (up to 1 km) than a smart key can afford (100-250 m). It is the two-way transmission of signals through high-speed repeaters, as opposed to transmitting the signal directly from the smart key to the car, allows you to increase the range of relay attack device in 4-10 times – up to 1 km!

Working distance Long Relay Attack 1000M
The Long Relay Attack 1000M 2-in-1 Keyless Repeater is a versatile device due to its 2 modes of operation:
- Short mode or also called direct mode;
- Long modes.
In Short mode, the device works as a high quality keyless repeater multi-brand with FBS4 2024 in which the signal is transmitted directly from the key to the car, allowing the signal to be transmitted up to 250 meters.
In Long mode, the device transmits a two-way high-speed digital signal through repeaters, which can significantly increase the distance from the car to the smart key up to 1 kilometer.
Schematic of the working distances of the Short (direct) mode:
- The distance from A to B from the driver’s door handle (where the antenna is installed) to the receiving module (repeater 1) should be in the range of 20-40 cm;
- The distance from B to C between repeaters must be at least 40 meters, otherwise the device will not work. In line of sight, the recommended operating distance is 150-200 meters;
- The C-D distance between the transmitting module (Repeater 2) and the smart key should be not less than 1 meter and up to 8 meters (depends on the type of key and battery charge level in the key). Using an additional external antenna will significantly increase the range of Repeater 2, thereby increasing the allowable distance from Repeater 2 to the smart key to 12-20 meters. Using the example of a Toyota LC200 car, its native smart key will be available in the field of view of the Repeater 2 with the external antenna connected at a distance of 10-20 meters (depending on the external interference and the presence of obstacles in the path of the radio signal).
- The distance from D to A varies from 50 to 250 meters, depending on the maximum distance the smart key can reach the vehicle. This depends on the key itself, external interference, obstacles in the way and the battery level of the smart key.

- Distance A-B is the distance from the door handle of the car, where the antenna is installed, to the Repeater 1, which will process the received signal, clean the signal from interference/noise and amplify it several times. For proper operation of Repeater 1, the distance to the door handle should be at least 30 cm and not more than 70 cm;
- Distance B-C is the distance between Repeaters 1 and 2. Repeater 1 after amplifying the signal sends it to Repeater 2, the distance between them can be up to 1 km, but not less than 50 meters, otherwise the response signal from the key overlaps with the signal from the repeater and the device will not work;
- The C-D distance is the distance between the Repeater 2 and the Smart Key. The distance must be at least 2 meters and no more than 8 meters with an internal antenna or 4 meters to 20 meters with an optional external antenna;
- D-C is the distance from the smart key to Repeater 2, the parameters are similar as with distance C-D;
- C-B is the distance from Repeater 2 to Repeater 1, parameters are similar to B-C up to 1 km;
- B-A – distance from Repeater 1 to the Vehicle, distance parameters are similar to A-B;
Optimal positioning of the Long Relay Attack 1000M Keyless Repeater to improve its operating efficiency
The Repeater 2 has an internal antenna under the top cover of the case, so the most effective position of the Repeater 2 is if the top cover of the Repeater 2 is facing the smart key (see the figure below). If the Repeater 2 is facing away from the smart key, the reading range of the smart key may be greatly reduced and the quality of operation will be affected.
If the repeaters are operating at a critical distance (poor communication between repeaters or operating at the threshold of the maximum allowable distance) and you manage to open the car not the first time. And when you are already inside the car, the metal body will create an additional obstacle/interference on the path of radio signal, especially if you immediately closed all the doors, because of which there is a possibility that you will not be able to start the car, because the connection between the repeaters will be lost.
In such cases, it is recommended to lift the repeater and place it against the windshield or side window to restore communication. If the doors are closed, open the door and bring the repeater to the doorway. Or wait until the second repeater unit is closer.
If one of the repeater modules is located in a building, the distance between repeater units can be significantly reduced due to poor radio signal transmission. Urban monolithic apartment buildings made of steel and concrete will have poorer signal transmission than brick buildings of the same wall thickness. Additionally, poor weather conditions and high urban radio noise will also affect the operating distance between the units.
Long Relay Attack 1000M Keyless Repeater – Control Panel
The receiving (Repeater 1) and transmitting (Repeater 2) repeaters have identical control panels.
It is very important that both repeaters are configured in the same way!
- Turns the power of the device on/off;
- Key Response Indicator. Illuminates green when the key responds to vehicle requests;
- Indicator of “communication between repeaters”. Lights yellow when the repeaters can see each
- Key Request Flashes “red” when the vehicle requests a key
- Operation mode indicator. Blinks slowly – battery saving mode, blinks quickly – operation
- USB connector for repeater software
- Configuration switch for selecting the operating
- BOTH RETRANSMITTERS MUST BE CONFIGURED IN THE SAME WAY!
- Charger connection socket (charger).
Optional external antenna
The kit comes with 1 additional external antenna. This antenna is designed for the transmitting module (Repeater 2). Its function is to increase the signal length from Repeater 2 to the Smart Key. Without the antenna the signal distance will be 3-7 meters, with the antenna the distance can reach 12-20 meters.
You can connect the antenna to the repeater when it is on, the repeater will flash all LEDs twice and switch from internal antenna to external antenna. Connect the connector carefully, make sure that the guides on the connector are aligned with the connector, do not push the connector hard.
Disconnect the external antenna only when the Repeater is switched off! To disconnect the connector, press the black button on the connector, gently pull the connector out. Take care of the equipment! J Note: To get the best results, straighten the antenna so that it takes a rectangular or square shape (sagging at the bottom is acceptable). It is preferable to keep the antenna weighted so that it does not touch the floor. If the car is close to the key, switch Repeater 1 to the “America” mode
Warranty
The equipment is covered by a 1-year warranty from the manufacturer. The warranty covers all kinds of factory defects of the equipment. Repairs under this warranty are free of charge. Initially, the manufacturer performs free diagnostics to identify the cause of the malfunction. If the results of the diagnostics show that the device was used improperly, was opened, dropped, flooded with water, not properly inserted batteries, pressed buttons, the device was charged with a non-native charger or the like, then in this case the client pays only the cost of the replaced components, as well as hours of work of the engineer. As for the delivery, the client bears all costs if the delivery is paid.

For example, a normal cordless phone operates on the same frequencies and with this equipment you can increase the range of your cordless phone.
